A trip to the library can be about so much more than checking out books. At Frisco Library, little ones can play pretend, elementary-age kids can experiment with STEM activities, and teens can find a place to study, work on projects, or try a new hobby.
With spaces for different ages and interests, it's a place families can enjoy together while giving kids room to explore their own interests as they grow.
Little Learners Have Big Imaginations
Frisco Library has several spaces designed with its youngest visitors in mind, from babies just starting to explore to preschoolers ready to play pretend.

Tot's Town, designed for kids ages 5 and under, has plenty of opportunities for imaginative play. Kids can explore a train inspired by Frisco's railroad heritage, shop at the H-E-B grocery store, build in the construction area, or pretend to care for animals at the vet clinic. There's even a gated-off area for crawlers, giving the littlest visitors their own place to explore.
Books are scattered throughout the play areas, too, so it's easy to grab a story and settle in for a reading break between adventures.
STEM Adventures for Elementary-Age Kids
For kids in kindergarten through fifth grade, Kid's Club is full of hands-on ways to explore science, technology, engineering, and math.

Kids can try robotics, build their own cars to race, and use microscopes to get a closer look at the world around them. Whether your child already loves building and experimenting or is just starting to discover those interests, there's plenty to keep curious minds busy.
It's also a fun space for friends and siblings to explore together, compare their creations, and see what they can come up with.
A Reading Spot for Every Age
Of course, there's plenty of room for reading at Frisco Library, too!
The children's areas downstairs have spaces for different ages and reading levels, with bright colors, playful artwork, and big chairs that make the younger elementary section feel welcoming for little readers. As kids grow, the adjoining section offers more room to settle in with a book.

The collections are organized to help kids find books that match their reading levels, while tables throughout the area give students a place to plug in their devices, work on homework, or spread out a school project.

The Pond offers another cozy spot for babies and toddlers. Baby books are within easy reach, and flexible seating and little spaces to crawl into make it easy to find a comfortable place to read together. It's a nice option for little ones who want to explore a book at their own pace, even if that means crawling around to find just the right spot.

Whether it's picking out a stack of picture books or finding the next chapter book to get lost in, families can make a library visit part of their reading routine.
A Space for Teens to Focus and Connect
Upstairs, older kids and teens have spaces designed for studying, working together, and spending time with friends.
The dedicated Teen Area has flexible seating, whiteboards, and individual cubbies where students can work on their own or gather with a study group. It's a helpful change of scenery when the kitchen table isn't cutting it for homework, or when a group project needs a little more room.

For teens who want to explore interests outside of school, the library also offers opportunities to learn new skills and try creative projects.
Try Something New
Ever wanted to try 3D printing, learn to play the ukulele, or give baking a shot without buying all the supplies first? Frisco Library offers opportunities to explore new hobbies and creative skills.
The library's Makerspace and take-home kits give families a chance to try something new without having to invest in equipment or supplies right away. Older kids and parents can even make it a shared activity and see what interests them.

It's a great option for families who are looking for something new to do together, especially when you're not quite sure which hobby might stick.
Take a Study Break on the Terrace
When it's time for a change of scenery, head to the Terrace on the top floor. Overlooking Frisco, this outdoor space offers a spot to read, study, or catch up with friends.

Students can bring their work outside for a little fresh air, or families can take a break together before heading back inside. It's a quieter way to enjoy the library while getting a different view of the city.
