Meet Lyndsey Mercado—our brand new editorial assistant, kid-chaser, snack enthusiast, and proud champion of all things local.Lyndsey’s the type who can spot a hidden playground gem from a mile away, never says no to a spontaneous dance party, and believes that every day should include at least one good laugh (preferably two). She’s here to help us dig up the best events, craft the quirkiest guides, and keep the “Find Your Family FUN” spirit going strong.

Hey there! I was a high school teacher for eight years in Frisco ISD, then after having my 3rd child I became a Stay-at-Home Mom! I have three kids that are 5, 2, and 1 -- they love to keep me busy! I have lived in McKinney for almost ten years and have loved every minute of it. Outside of my kiddos, I love to try new restaurants and new recipes to cook at home. I am always baking something for my family! Some of my favorite things are a good podcast, a large iced coffee, a cozy book (when time allows!), and long walks outside with my kids!
Once I became a stay-at-home mom, I found myself constantly looking for things to do and places to go with my kids to keep them entertained. Then, I stumbled across Macaroni KID. The website and newsletter helped shape my days and plan my week ahead with my littles! McKinney and Frisco are near and dear to my heart and I am looking forward to bringing you fun content and events in the area! I am delighted to be able to give back what it has given me, and to work along side the amazing Laura!
